Yesterday morning, I made the kindergarten teacher a bag and filled it with some serious high valued treats!
She LOVES Cadbury's Mini Eggs and so do I! Two bag for her, and unfortunately, three wouldn't fit... so we ate them :)
After David and I went out to lunch, we went shopping to buy me a new outfit for church. I have to speak in church on Sunday and wanted something new. Next, he and my oldest son went camping and I got busy basting, quilting and binding DH's birthday quilt :) I was pretty surprised how fast it came together. It was all quilted in about 2 hours. I hand sewed on the binding until about 11:30. I finished the rest of the binding this morning while I watched Joyful Noise with Dolly Parton and Queen Latifa. It was a cute movie.
I promptly put the quilt in the washer. My hubby and son came home and just as my hubby was falling asleep, the quilt was finished in the dryer so I tossed it on him :)
He was out like a light... and I think he liked it ;D He is a man of FEW words, so I have to guess a ton ;)
When he woke up... or I should say, when I ripped it off of him, he woke up... I took it out for a photo shoot!
Doesn't the white water look AWESOME!! I think the quilt wants to jump in and surf the rapids ;D
PS- I am linking this post up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict WHOOP WhOOP!!

Deleteyes, and I am still trying to repent from eating that bag of chocolate with my son! When will I learn....
It came out great Marion! On the first picture where the quilt is standing over the bridge I kept looking at it waiting when is it going to fall in the water? :) Guess it didn't! Great job!
ReplyDeleteKati, you are so sweet! My daughter was holding the quilt and was worried the whole time. I wasn't worried. My daughter knows that dropping the quilt in the creek is punishable by death ;D
