More Zippered Pouches

We were invited to a last minute birthday party for my daughters best friends.  They are twins :)  I of course decided to make them a pair of darling zippered pouches FILLED with Swedish fish :)  I'll explain the fish in a sec...

So, where did the fish come from (I know they are not in the pics, but here is the back story...)

My daughter was asked to prom by on of her friends.  To ask her, he did this to her room...

I didn't get a picture, but there were two HUGE bags worth of Swedish fish in her bed under the covers.  It's a good thing we all LOVE Swedish fish.  She will be finding fish in her room for YEARS!! Sam used about 10 Costco sized bags of fish.  She has decided to fill his room with shredded paper to answer him :)

  1. WOW! Now that's a lotta fish! :) I should send my husband over to catch them :)) Does shredded paper mean YES? :D Anyway... love those zipped pouches, is the left one Central Park? They're really cute and a very nice present for girls!

    1. It sure was a TON of fish! Yep, she is going to answer him yes sometime this week. Hopefully he doesn't follow my blog ;)
Yes, that print is Central Park. It has been on clearance at one of the local fabric stores. That line is super cute! Thank you for your kind words! I'm pretty happy with how they turned out and the girls loved them. My girls church youth group leader was at the party and asked me to teach the girls how to make them. It should bee a fun easy project for them. :)

  3. LOVE that Central Park pouch. I used that fabric in a quilt for my daughter. It's a favorite! And those fish? Oh how sweet! Although, like you, our house loves swedish fish so it wouldn't be an issue to clean up:)

    1. Thanks, Suzann :-) They make me smile! Regarding the fish... I might be getting sick of them at this point. I sure wish I'd quit grabbing handfuls of them every time I pass a ziploc full of them. ;)

    1. Isn't that funny? She is going to reply "yes" with a fish bowl full of blue jello and the letters Y-E-S floating along with a few dozen Swedish fish. Oh yeah, she is going to fill his room with shredded paper too ;D
