Metro Rings for Babies FINISHED

Tonight is a joint family shower for my two daughters :-)

I have been wanting to make a double wedding ring quilt for quite some time now. I figured baby size is a good place to start ;-)

For Baby Bennett, I used an Indigo by Moda jelly roll and some leftover scraps of yellow from Barbie at sew day last month :-)

for Baby Olivia, I used 1930's prints in lavender and green.

The quilt pattern is by Sew Kind of Wonderful called Metro Rings using their Quick Curve Ruler. It pretty much ROCKS!

The closeups show the colors of the fabric so much better ;-)

For the binding on Olivia's quilt I used purple gingham on the bias. I LOVE it!

The backing for Bennetts quilt is a cut of fun car fabric and the leftover jelly roll and yellow.

Super fun for a little boy!

The backing for Olivia's quilt is more lavender gingham. Perfection!

  1. I love both of your quilts. I bought that ruler, but haven't used it yet. Also bought a pattern. You have inspired me to give it a try. Loved sewing with you in Preston. Would love to do it again sometime. You are great and a wonderful person.
