Eric & Andy's Denim Quilts are FINISHED :)

Well, the last two denim quilts are finished :)  I am always so happy to get things checked off of my list :)

Here is Andy's quilt.

I really love the blocks that MaryAnne made for each quilt to personalize them.

I added the Monogram to each quilt for an added personal touch.

For Andy's quilt I did a small stipple around all of the denim blocks.  I love how it looks on the back.

On to Eric's quilt.

Eric is a surfer and according to his mother, he would live in the ocean.

I did a wave fmq.

"E" is for Eric!

For the binding, I used this stripy dot for each of the boys quilts.

I should be able to mail these off Wednesday morning!!! :)

Denim Quilts for Christmas

Yep, the three denim quilts are nearly completed.  Emileigh's is finished all of the way and Andy and Eric's just need the binding hand sewn on :)  I should have these off in the mail Tuesday :)

Here is Emileigh's quilt.  WARNING, there is NO pink in this fabric... any pink you see is because my camera and photo shop skills seriously lack! ;)

After consulting with my quilting guru friends, I decided to only quilt on the red and black plaid.

I did a swirly fmq patter for hers.

MaryAnne (the mom) embroidered a personalized block for each quilt.

The quilting looks really cool on the back, but I couldn't capture it in the pictures :(

As a bonus, I added a monogram to the back of each quilt.

For Emileigh's binding I chose a small white daisy on black by Riley Blake.

All folded and ready to ship :)

Here is Eric's "E"

I have about a 1/3 of Eric's binding sewn on.

This is Andy's "A"

I'll get their binding finished on Monday.

MaryAnne's Denim Quilts

Saturday I started to to work on the quilts I am making for my mom's friend, MaryAnne.  I have known MaryAnne pretty much my whole life :)  I love her dearly!

She has been saving her kids jeans forEVER and is having me make quilts for Christmas for her children.

She mailed me 5-1/2" squares cut out of each child's jeans and 12+ yards of the backing and sashing fabric.

I am working on one quilt at a time so I don't mix up the different jeans.

They are all going to be very much the same.  I got Emileigh's top and back finished Saturday :D

Chain piecing blocks and sashing.

Pressed blocks ready for trimming.

There are 80, 7-1/2" blocks.

Here is the top all sewn.

MaryAnne has embroidered a special block for each of her children.

Since I have been on an monogram kick, I decided to add one to the back of each quilt.
