I really need to retake these pictures, but my sister in law literally dropped off my son as I was taking these, so I had to hurry and hide the quilts :(

I did a pixilated fmq pattern

I am super happy to have this bad boy crossed off of my list!!!

Black Friday Sew Fest

After recovering from my food induced coma, I got busy sewing my little heart out.

My sister in law took home the two kids who's quilts I needed to finish :)

Pretty smart, eh?

Anyway, I FINISHED THEM BOTH!!!

I will do an official blog post on each one later, but here are some teaser pictures!

I have a little big stitch quilting to do around the ladybug dots... but we wont worry about this for now!

A Little Basting, Binding and Quilting

Monday I was still not feeling tip top :(  I mostly just chilled.  I did sew the binding on a couple of Thanksgiving table runners for a friend :) ..and wash a million loads of laundry!

Today, I am feeling better, but worn out :p  I was able to baste both my son and my daughters quilts today.

I also mailed off my sisters pillow shams.  I am SO sad to send them on their way!!!

I finished the quilting on my son's birthday quilt and started in on the fmq for my daughters Christmas quilt.

My son is getting a pixelated quilting because, frankly, I couldn't thing of anything else.

My daughter requested  fmq daisies.

(Yes, I know Christmas presents are supposed to be a surprise, but she is a Smart Derrière and walked in while I was working on it last week and just keeps taunting me about it.  I told her she was not getting anything from me, let alone an AWESOME quilt!!!  Sheesh... fifteen year olds!!!)

(I have sworn off swearing, does it count if I swear in french?)

I need to clean the house right now, but I really want a nap :)

For dinner I think I am going to make Chicken Spenchilada!  It's a family favorite :)  (for some reason, one of my kids called enchilada "Spenchilada" and it stuck)

I was able to get my son's birthday quilt top finished Friday evening!!!!  Going Coastal and Shore Thing are the fabrics of choice in this super fun quilt top :)  GO Emily!!!

This quilt was inspired by a quilt called "Reflections" by Sharon of Fabrics n' Flowers.  I saw a link to her quilt on the 100 Day Hustle linky party.  You may buy the pattern HERE from Sharon :) 

I had actually designed and started making the quilt before I realized that this quilt was a pattern that Sharon sold :(   I suppose that I should actually READ blog posts instead of just looking at the pretty pictures ;)

The blue lobsters with the orange background are my favorite!!! (can you find it?)

My son's favorite print is the sail boats below :)

I don't think that my measurements are the same as Sharon's original  because she makes reference to it being a charm square quilt and my interpretation uses much larger blocks that get sashed and chopped ;D

My chopped print is larger than 5".

Now for the second thing I crammed in...

Konda gave me 2 mini charm packs of Marmalade.  I turned them into the CUTEST granny squares I have EVER seen :)

I am currently in negotiations with Konda to get my hands on one more mini charm pack so I can make these into the CUTEST baby blanket EVER!!!

Konda says I can have one or two more, but I have to be nice to her.... hmmmm, I wonder if I can swing that? ;D

You know I can, Baby!!!
