My brother let us stay in his cabin for the week. :-D

A little knitting to get the weekend off to a great start!

My sew together all packed for an awesome weekend!

We got our first view of our second expected grand baby :-)

Using the beautiful windows for a design wall :-)

While I was up at the cabin a few things came in the mail for me :)

And a fq bundle of super cute 1930's prints.

My second project for the weekend was to make sew together bags for my mom and mother in law.

My friend Brittany was able to come up Friday and Saturday. She worked on her AMAZING double wedding ring quilt.

A selfie of the family on the way to church.

  1. What a great mini retreat! I can't believe you got so much done! I must've missed a post somewhere, I didn't know you were expecting grandkids. How exciting! The babies will never be cold with you making them quilts!

  2. O.M.G! So the selfie has a folded ironing board in the background, LOL! Are those J. Paganelli fabrics for the sew together bags? I have some of them, and love her color palette. I even met her at her Christmas boutique 2 years ago :))) Brittany's DWR looks fabulous! Do you know what pattern is she using for it?
Your string quilt looks fabulous BTW! It looks like you guys had a great time!

  3. Ha ha, what a great collection of lovelies: family, food and fabric!

  4. I love that string quilt, and what a great setting for a mini retreat with family and quilting.

  5. It looks like you had a great time! I want that shirt too!

  6. String blocks are my favorite! Yours are very light and bright. What a wonderful weekend retreat!

  7. All your work is great but the t-shirt is wonderful!

Thanks for leaving your thoughts! I LOVE to hear from you :) I cherish every word :) I read ALL of your comments and try to reply to every single one.... but it sometimes takes me a few days xoxo
