Fords Star in Progress

My 13 year old son made this origami star.  I fell in love it and decided it would make an awesome quilt!

Next I had him make a rubbing so I could make a foundation piecing pattern.

Now for the fun part. Enjoy the pics ;-)

  4. I saw a few photos of this on Instagram but I can't believe you made this up like this! I'm also really confused. I'm not a paper piecer but I get the basic idea. In the progress shots though, I'm not seeing your paper that I thought you would have been stitching on?? Don't get me wrong, this is AMAZING

  5. Sorry my ipad didn't want to keep typing so I was forced to send the last comment. Anyway, is it a template you made and I just misunderstood? Perhaps it's just sorcery and witchcraft?! Lol. Jk, it really looks fabulous but I'd love an idea of how you accomplished this! Well, a better idea, since I'm sure other people get it, haha.
