My daughters best friend is marring my daughters husbands twin brother. (Did you follow that?)
So, of course, I HAD to make her a quilt!
Jazmin's favorite color is purple :)
I have had this cut of fabric for a few years. It is a single piece with all 6 shades of purple printed on it. I used a 60 degree triangle ruler to cut out the triangles. I LOVE sewing with them. They behave just like squares, pretty much ;)
As per tradition, I had to add in some special words in the quilting just for them.
Jazmin also loves turquoise with her lovely lavenders.
It is such a happy quilt for the lovebirds!
For the backing I used some wild and AWESOME fabric from April's 1970 basement stash!
Here are some pictures of the creation process...
Ok, I hope I'm not leaving a comment twice...... it disappeared! I love this quilt, it is so pretty! I have a 60 degree triangle for my Accuquilt...... I think it's time to use it! Great job!

60 degree triangle quolts are one of my favorite to make. This one is especially lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm making a triangle quilt now, but it's not equilateral since I don't have that size template. That size template is now on my list!
ReplyDeleteAwesomeness! Yes, I did follow, although I had a hard time translating it into Hungarian to DF, I couldn't remember the word Son In Law :))) The quilt came out gorgeous, and I really love the quilting you did!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt in shades of purple! Love the quilting too!
