A lady contacted me Tuesday about finishing a quilt that her granddaughter had started. It was her first quilt and it was a bit too much ;) I know veteran quilters who wont deal with "y" seams ;) She bought the kit with the pre-cut hexies at a local quilt shop.
Any hoots, there were a few little things to fix, but I had it all sewn up in no time.
The hexy's are large, 8" from flat side to flat side. (I know that is not the way to measure a hexy, but I couldn't remember the right way ;)
It is made with Madrona Road. I used Madrona Road on my daughters wedding quilt. It is SO pretty!
The "y" seams were not to bad at all as the hexy's are SO big ;D
It's off for quilting! Party!
Will be linking up with Amanda Jean over at Crazy Mom Quilts :)
Wow. It looks awesome. I don't know that I'll ever brave hexies. They look stressful to me! :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job! I don't know how you get it all done!! You're amazing, and really inspire me!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love these giant hexies!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! I haven't tried hexes yet... maybe I'll try big ones to start ;)
