Olivia's Butterfly for Eva

You have been seeing a lot of butterflies made by me lately.

This one is for my mother in law, Eva, in memory of Olivia,
her granddaughter, that died this past April.

She, of course, is devastated by Olivia's death.

(Blogged HERE)

When Eva saw the butterfly for my friend for our guild swap, she mentioned how much she loved it and that it reminded her of Olivia.

I just had to make her one too.

The one I made for Olivia's mother is blogged HERE.

Information about the pattern can be found HERE.

Here are some behind the scenes photos ;)

My mother in laws favorite color is purple :)

  3. Your butterfly is gorgeous, I'm so sorry it comes with such a sad backstory, but I do hope your quilt brings some comfort and love through the pain.

  4. Stunning quote, very apt; and what a beautiful tribute to Olivia, a treasure for her grandmother - well done.
