I finished this quilt top late last night :) YIPPEE!!! It's been cut out for a LONG time! I seem to think that I don't want to quilt this today. I am not sure what color thread to use. It will probably have to be white or cream. Hmmmmm......
I am off to go see my dad. He had knee replacement on Tuesday.
Have a GREAT Thursday!
Quilting plans for the rest of this week....
AUSTIN's Quilt!
I hope to at least get it cut out and the top sewn. It's going to be a simple patchwork, similar to Reagan's quilt, except bigger squares and no chenille flowers. Maybe a chenille block or two ;) Austin is blind and severely autistic. Texture is everything to him. His mom picked fabric that she likes but is masculine enough for a 16 year old boy ;D Hopefully he will like this quilt. He has gone places with a pink quilt because it is the right weight, size and texture ;D My sil doesn't care much what color it is, so long and Austin is happy :)
I also found a group of new quilt bloggers that are linking together to support each other :) Link back and check out all of the new enthusiasts! marciascraftysewing.blogspot.com
I am linking this post up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict WHOOP WhOOP!!
and Crazy Mom Quilts finish it up Friday!!!
I think you should quilt Ashley's quilt in orange or pink!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Konda! What brand do you like?
ReplyDeleteAshley's quilt is great--looks like Summer!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't wait for summer!!!
DeleteMy 5-year-old daughter loves orange and pink. I love the way you've combined them together in this quilt. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kat! You are so sweet!
DeleteI thought you were fast getting Austin's done but now I see you also got this top finished too. I need to get off this internet and kick myself in gear. It Looks good too.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy! I LOVE to quilt and would rather do that than the dishes ;)
DeleteYou are into orange! I love varigated YLI thread and they have several orange - I know, have a drawer full.
ReplyDeleteHI! Funny about the orange. Both of the orange ones were chosen by others. The orange is growing on me ;D I am going to have to go check out some variegated thread! Great idea!
DeleteI love the color palette you chose - especially with the aqua sashing. I always debate which thread to use for quilting and seem to always default an off-white color. I'm going to check out the link you posted for the new party.
ReplyDeleteHey Beth! Thank you!!! I seem to go for the white or off white too. I may go for a pale orange-ish or something like unto it ;D
DeleteI like this quilt - and I agree, the aqua sashing really sets it off! Whoop whoop!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! You are sweet!
Deletethis is so pretty. i love the bright cheerful colors
