Dreaming of Zippered Pouches...

ALL night I dreamed about making zippered pouches!  So what do you think I did first thing this morning?  I'll give you one hint- I am still in my jammies and it's 8:15pm ;D  Yes, I sewed ALL day!  ....well, that is not entirely true.  I did get the house clean with the help of my boys first.  THEN I sewed for the rest of the day.  Now, you may be saying, "Doesn't she have rules about getting dressed before sewing?"  and you'd be correct!     ..but, I had to wear make up and do my hair yesterday so I figured that I could slouch around today :)  (Yes, I know that I am pretty LAME!)
Now on to the zippered pouches.....
I used Crazy Mom Quilts tutorial HERE
The sizing is different for mine, but it is still pretty dang cute!!!
The front.

Pouch acting like a little sewing bag.

Pouch acting like a "sharps" container ;)

The back
After the pouch was finished I lazed about a bit before I got to work on  finishing Austin's quilt.   I have a few teaser pictures.  I'll take some out side tomorrow!

Quilting in progress...

My baby taking a nap under the freshly quilted and trimmed bankie.  Binding anyone?
After a few episodes of 24.....
My baby snuggling with the FInIshED, bound quilt :D

I love the brown minky with it!
I am linking this post up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict WHOOP WhOOP!!

  1. Love the bag! So cute! And the blanket is beautiful! Love the brown minky. Good choice!

And, just in case you might be interested, I happened upon another cute little zippered pouch tutorial. It doesn't use clear vinyl but it would be cute for other things...

  2. Oooh and I also got to thinking that if this vinyl pouch were to be used for things like make-up, then maybe it would be fun to have the fabric be that vinyl-ish fabric, so that the make-up smears and messes could be wiped off. Hmmm... you've got my mind on zippered pouches!!!

They ended up being less than 40 cents a piece shipped :) Shes got a great selection. I think its called zipit. I'm off to get ready for church. Two wards to attend. I gt to speak in one of them ;)
