I always buy my 505 from Amazon.com for abt $18 per can, shipped. Thursday night at the SLMQG Sukie offered me TWO cans for $20 :)
So what is the difference? The best I can tell is that one can has an international packaging and the other is packaged for the US.
Do you know of any other differences?
This is funny because I was just thinking about asking you if you prefer to pin or spray baste. I guess I have the answer. Do you ever use any pins, especially for the big quilts? I'm always afraid that the large ones will slip in the sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteI love this brand of basting spray, but as far as I know there are no differences. You got a good deal.
ReplyDeleteI have bought the can on the left (Dallas, TX) twice. The first time it just didn't work for me so I assumed I'd gotten a bad can based on a lot of bloggers' love for this stuff. So I bought locally. I'm still not a fan. I don't know if it's our humidity or some other factor. I have used The Original Quilt Basting Spray (pink and white can) with no problems and will continue to do so. I'm using up my two cans of 505 on placemats and potholders.
ReplyDeleteI've not seen the red can on the left before. I do like the 505 and have used it for basting fabrics together before machine applique/embroidery. I also like it for small quilting projects that I'm not going to do on the long-arm.
